IEEE Future Networks and Innovation | Testbed Fostering 6G Collaboration and Research

Dr. Ashutosh Dutta participated in a panel titled, “Global Academic Research Collaborations in 6G Era,” at the International 6G Symposium organized by Bharat 6G Alliance on October 16. The panel was moderated by Prof. Ajit Chaturvedi of IIT Kanpur. As part of his talk, he got a chance to discuss how IEEE Future Networks, 5G/6G Innovation Testbed, and IEEE Data Port can contribute to this research collaboration.

Dr. Ashutosh Dutta, JHU/APL Fellow, Director of the JHU Doctor of Engineering Program, and Founding Co-Chair of the IEEE Future Networks Technical Community, served as a panelist at the IEEE Baltimore Technical Colloquium and Professional Development Conference on Saturday, November 2 at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Sponsored by the IEEE Baltimore Section, the conference brought together industry professionals and experts to discuss advancements in technology and opportunities for professional development.

International 6G Symposium

Dr. Ashutosh Dutta, Founding Co-Chair of IEEE Future Networks and Chief 5G Strategist at Johns Hopkins University APL, participated in an exciting panel titled “Global Academic Research Collaboration in the 6G Era” on October 16 at the International 6G Symposium during the India Mobile Congress in New Delhi, India. He shared insights on how IEEE Future Networks and the IEEE 5G/6G Innovation Testbed (testbed.ieee.org) serve as catalysts for fostering global academic research collaborations toward advancing 6G technologies.

Dr. Ashutosh Dutta, Chief 5G Strategist at APL, Director of the Doctor of Engineering Program at The Johns Hopkins University, and Founding Co-Chair of IEEE Future Networks, was one of the esteemed speakers at the Tech Transfer 3.0 Summit in the Deep Tech MEA Area during Expand North Star Dubai.

In this talk, Dr. Ashutosh Dutta discusses the evolution of wireless networks from 5G to 6G and explores how emerging technologies will shape the future of connectivity. He highlights key innovations in network security, automation, and global collaboration, emphasizing the role of 6G in transforming industries like healthcare, smart cities, and autonomous systems. Security for SDN/NFV and 5G Networks, India Mobile Congress, 2018

Dr. Ashutosh Dutta gives an overview of mobile network history but focuses on the key characteristics of 5G, specifically integration, flexible networks, and flexible mobility.
